The Treachery of Sweden

This is for a sculpture assignment for Design II. It's actually my first foray into sculpture. We were only given two weeks to do the ideation and construction for this one, so it's not anything spectacular. Basically we needed to buy a lot of something which is mass-produced (like screws, nails, macaroni noodles, etc.) and construct a larger, related object out of it. I chose to use Swedish fish, and took some inspiration from Rene Magritte. I created a larger fish, mounted it to a plaque (painted like the Swedish flag,) and then underneath I wrote "This is not a fish" in Swedish (based on a few web translations.) It's not as nice as the image I had in my head, but I like it. :-P
